Help us fight for care rights

We have been working hard to push for a new right for people needing care. We are making great strides, but we need your help to get it over the line!

As a valued supporter, we hope you will take 1, 2 or even 3 quick actions to help us:

  1. Sign our pledge for Gloria's Law - 1 minute action

  2. Invite your MP to our event - 5 minute action

  3. Complete our survey - 10 minute action

Whatever time you can spare, it will make a big difference to people needing care and their families. Thank you!

1 minute action: sign our pledge for Gloria's Law

We are calling for a new legal right to a Care Supporter - a relative or friend who can be there in our time of need. The pandemic showed the devastating harm caused by isolation in health and care settings. Join us in saying 'never again' and pledge your support for 'Gloria's Law'. Named after Ambassador and actress Ruthie Henshall's mum, Gloria, it will make a huge difference to us all. It will mean we are never isolated from our family carers in hospitals or care homes.

Take a free, 1 minute action and pledge your support for Gloria's Law.

5 minute action: invite your MP to our event

We are organising an event in Parliament on 6 June to discuss with MPs and Government Ministers how to make Gloria's Law a reality. We are working with a cross-party coalition of MPs to take this forward, and they have secured a slot in the House of Commons on the same day to present the need for a new law.

Help us ensure your MP attends, by sending them our template letter. It’s a simple and quick action that will help the campaign hugely.

10 minute action: complete our survey

Were you or a loved one living in care during the pandemic? Was access to healthcare professionals restricted - like doctors, nurses, dentists etc? Was hospital access denied or appointments cancelled? Was a 'do not resuscitate' decision made without consultation? Please tell us about your experiences by completing a short survey.

We have secured 'core participant status' in the COVID-19 public inquiry. Your testimonies are so important and we want to make sure they are heard in the official inquiry, so that vital lessons can be learnt.

Complete the short survey

Our small team works tirelessly to ensure the voices of people needing care are heard. We can’t do this without you! As a small charity, we rely on your generosity and support. Please take one of the actions above, or donate to the cause - every act makes a difference. Thank you for your support!
