We have new team members!

15th August 2024

We are delighted to share that we have four new starts joining our team this month! As part of our commitment to growing our team to meet the demands of our adviceline, and growing our organisation to lobby for social care reform UK-wide, we have recruited new team members to help us achieve these goals.

Joining Emma and Trevor in the Advice team are Jo and Neema, our new Care and Support Advisers. They will provide information, advice and support to people across the UK to help them understand the care system and their rights, helping them to navigate problems they experience with care services. Their work will also crucially provide insight into the lived experience of the people drawing on care who we support, which informs our policy and campaigns work.

I am thrilled to have joined the team at Care Rights UK at such an exciting time of growth and development. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive - I’m really looking forward to being part of increasing the capacity on the adviceline.
— Jo, Care and Support Adviser

George joins the team as a Researcher. His work will ensure we are informed by robust research, helping us to diversify and increase our reach across the UK. He will provide research support to help the team improve our knowledge of care laws across the UK, and inform our information resources and materials.

Lauren joins the team as our Policy and Campaigns Lead. Her work in policy, campaigns and communications will help deliver the charity’s aim of pushing for a better care system, so that people’s rights are respected. She will raise awareness of quality care, push for new rights and call for reform of the sector.

I’m really pleased to be part of an organisation championing reform of such an essential sector. This couldn’t be more of a crucial time for change in social care, and I’m really excited to work with such knowledgeable people to push for it.
— Lauren, Policy and Campaigns Lead
